We got out of the city this weekend and drove down to the Santa Cruz Mountians to explore Big Basin State Park. Talk about heaven on earth. There were banana slugs, waterfalls, every shade of green imaginable, sunshine, and REALLY BIG trees. The only thing slightly lacking was signage… we missed our turn and what we planned on being a 4 mile hike ended up being 12 miles! C’est la vie – we survived and celebrated with a beer at Zeitgeist afterwards. :)
