Christmas Craft Night Recap

The other night I had a few girlfriends over for a holiday craft night!  It had been a while since my last girls night and I was inspired by all the cute ideas on pinterest.  I loved the striped paper straw wreath idea, but thought it was a bit cumbersome.  For our craft, we made mini-wreath ornaments and they turned out so cute!

Before everyone came I prepared little muslin bags with all the supplies.  Each person got a cardboard ring, sample straws cut to size, a silver tie, and plenty of straws to work with.  All they had to do was cut the straws down to size (16 pieces of 3/4″, 1″, and 1 1/4″ each) and glue them together!  The perfect chat-while-you-craft kind of project.

I invited 15 girls and was a bit overwhelmed by the 13 yes responses, but the day of 6 people canceled, so we had a nice group of 7.  Thank goodness because my living room can only hold about 10 people max!  Maybe next time I’ll pick a better location.
