This Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers video is my latest obsession.
Tilly’s been throwing her food on the floor a lot lately. This past week we’ve been putting her on time out when she does it and today we were actually successful with no time out needed! I made this video last week and have been trying to reinforce “the rules” ever since. She definitely knows the rules… now it’s time to obey them! (Watch our take from the night before here, where she almost gets them right.)
Talitha loves to dance and wiggle - lately her stage of choice is the kitchen table. Our normal go-to dance music is T-Rex but during this video she happens to be dancing to Grimes. She’s just swaying back and forth, but I think it’s so sweet!
Walking home from Daycare from Mary Pendleton on Vimeo.
I love our walks home every day! Tilly is 17 months old now and loves to explore as she toddles down the path.
We went to a super fun wedding a few weeks ago in San Luis Obispo. Irv is one of our oldest friends from college and it was so great watching him exchange vows with the most perfect girl, Ali.
I decided last minute to practice my wedding videography skillz at their wedding, so I shot this on my iPhone with an app called 8mm.
Considering they are both film editors I’m sure they could have done a better job themselves, but I still think its pretty cool!
Here’s the link. (Still can’t figure out how to embed the video here… lame!)
Happy first birthday to the sweetest little cupcake on earth! Here’s the party video I told you about… It warms my heart every time I click play. Tilly Turns One

Here’s some serious excitement for your otherwise drab Monday evening…
Tilly gets so crazy over certain things, it’s pretty funny. Here’s a video of her rection to me pulling some yogurt out of the fridge. She seriously LOVES the yogurt! She has a similar reaction to our Frida Kahlo refrigerator magnet. Once they’re pulled out, it’s like beatle mania. I can’t wait for Christmas morning surprises, if they’re anything like this!
Tilly had her first piano lesson when we were down in Orange for Christmas. Her uncle JD is a musician and gave her a little tour of the old 88. Maybe we’ll have a piano of our own by next year. A girl can dream, right?
We gave Tilly her first solid food on Thanksgiving, and as you’ll see, she wasn’t very impressed with lentils. Since then she’s gotten much better and even opens her mouth when the spoon comes close! She much prefers sweet potatoes to lentils, come to find out. (don’t we all?) We’ll get a superfood in her system one way or another!
Tilly has really been loving her Bumbo time. Oh what, you don’t know what a Bumbo is? It’s this cool foam chair that helps babies strengthen their core and neck muscles before they can sit on their own. Totally a non-necessity, but fun! She looks so old in it, I always giggle…
