Gramma Love

We have been having the best time visiting family these past few weeks. Yesterday my mom babysat Tilly and I went shopping and to the beach. It was so lovely! It’s definitely been nice having a plethora of baby sitters around…

Today Tilly met my grandma Bobbie for the first time and it was so sweet. Gramma recently broke her ankle and is in a rehab center, so their meet up was really uplifting for her. And of course Tilly was on her best behavior so gramma fell even more in love!

Today was also Tilly’s first trip to the beach! Well, she didn’t touch the sand or the water, but she got a feel for it anyway. We were celebrating our friend melissa’s birthday and it was baby/pregnant lady overload! (in the best way possible!)

We head home on Sunday… Not sure I’m ready to trade my bathing suit for a pea coat, but San Francisco summer is just around the corner and I’m ready for some family picnics!

Welcome Sunshine!

April 10th was the sunniest day ever!  My sweet sweet sister Molly threw a baby shower for us at her house, and it was just perfect!!  She went with a 70s sunshine theme – she knows how to make me happy!  My cousin Debbie pitched in with decorations, she should really start a business.  Check out those personalized water bottles and the handmade “Welcome Sunshine” bunting!

There were games at different stations around the house, so everyone really got a chance to intermingle and catch up with each other.  We played “name that baby”, guessed baby foods (educational, to say the least), guessed my belly circumference, and some other fun matching games.

When it came to gifts, everyone was so CREATIVE!  And generous!!  I am still blown away by the darling stuff I drove home with.  Honestly, to this point we have only spent $40 of our own money and all we have left to buy is bottles!  You guys, I have the best friends and family EVER.

I’m going to do another post on all the amazing handmade sweetness baby T got.  We know some seriously talented chicks!

22 weeks

22 weeks

Just a quick update today – here’s my lunchtime photoshoot for 22 weeks.

I absolutely loved seeing everyone in SoCal this weekend.  I got an official measurement at the Pendleton house and I was 39 inches.  :)

And Josh felt the baby kick for the first time on Thursday!!  Is she a soccer player or a ballerina or both?

Balboa Boating

We’ve been down in Orange County for a week and a half now! Last night we spent some time with my lovely family on my aunt and uncle’s boat in Balboa. It’s always great to see them – my favorite part was when we were pulling away on the dinghy, headed back to the dock, and my two aunts and grandma stood on the back of the boat waving to us, singing “So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye, Good BYYEEEEEE!”. We used to sing that everytime we parted ways when I was little and it just warmed my heart. :)

short trip

We’re going down to Orange tomorrow for a quick family visit, and even stopping for a night on our way back in Porterville.  Yes!!!  But I feel like I’ve forgotten what people wear in So Cal.  Ideally I’d like to pack sundresses and shorts but in reality, it’s still pants weather, right?

In a dream life I’d plan what I’m going to wear everyday just like Jessica Schroeder does:

Give me a break.  Amazing!!

love

It’s been 6 months since we got married! Can you believe it? Marrying Josh was the greatest thing I’ve ever done and clearly my wisest decision.  It wasn’t even a decision, really, because it was such a natural progression.  Like breathing.

A friend told me today that being married to Josh makes me the luckiest girl in the world and I couldn’t agree more.

Here are some pictures from our summertime, Southern California wedding to get your mind off the gloomy weather outside.
